What is it?
Hypnotherapy is a type of complementary therapy that uses hypnosis to help people make powerful, positive changes to their lives.
Hypnosis, or Hypnotic Trance, is an altered state of consciousness. It is a very real and natural state of being, and is something everyone experiences at various times in their day, even though they may not be aware of it.
"Solutions finder, not problem solver"
There are three aspects to consider when seeking to make your life better:
recognising a problem
establishing a solution
finding and actioning a viable path from problem to solution.
Yoga is a practice of developing awareness. With increased awareness you become more sensitive to identifying anything that's preventing you from fully enjoying the present moment.
Hypnotherapy is a tool that utilises altered states of consciousness to create neural connections for resourcing solutions to an identified problem (if one isn’t readily apparent).
Coaching offers a framework to action oneself away from the problem towards the solution.
I don't solve problems or give advice as a hypnotherapist, but instead offer suggestions to guide you towards finding your own solutions, empowering you to then go on and action them, whether by yourself or with a coach.
What happens in a hypnotherapy session?
Essentially it's a conversation, during which I utilise a variety of tools and techniques, such as insightful questions, breathwork, relaxation, guided visualisation, and positive suggestion, to assist you in uncovering the answers locked away in your subconscious mind.
